A WooCommerce store needs more than plugin updates.

We look after WooCommerce stores where the site is the business: subscriptions, custom checkouts, trade pricing, stock and courier integrations, and plugins someone wrote years ago that nobody understands. We also take on WordPress sites that take payments or bookings, such as course, membership and booking sites.

The usual complaints are the same: updates that break something, a developer who is slow to reply, and a list of fixes that never gets done. A plan sorts all three. Updates are tested before they go live, the list gets worked through every month, and you know the price before the year starts.

Switching from another developer or agency? See how it works.

Three monthly plans. Pick how much you want done.

Every plan keeps your store updated and monitored, with a report on the 1st. Build and Growth add development on top, which is the part maintenance-only services don’t do. Plans are monthly rolling with one month’s notice and no 12-month lock-in.

Prices shown are for a straightforward store: one store, a well-supported theme, a sensible number of plugins and no heavy custom code. A page builder, subscriptions, a lot of plugins or a store several versions behind can add to it, and we tell you before anything starts. Before we quote, we look over your plugins, theme, custom code and integrations at no cost. You then get one fixed monthly price, agreed before anything starts.

Keep it healthy

Care

For a store that works and needs to stay that way. Updated and monitored, with no feature work.

From £295 + VAT a month

Every month

  • WooCommerce, WordPress core, plugin and theme updates, tested on staging first
  • Anything our updates break is fixed at no extra charge
  • Plugin vulnerability alerts checked

Monitoring and reporting

  • Uptime monitored around the clock
  • One-page report on the 1st, with anything we spot flagged

Support

  • Next-working-day reply, same-day triage if sales are blocked
  • Site down or checkout broken: we get you back online within the plan
  • Fixes and development quoted at a fixed price, or move up to Build

Busy stores

Growth

For stores with a constant list of changes, where three a month isn’t enough.

From £995 + VAT a month

Development

  • Up to 7 development tasks a month, built, tested and released
  • Priority in the release queue

Everything in Build, plus

  • One major WooCommerce or theme upgrade a year, rehearsed on staging
  • Quarterly review of error logs, speed, security and Search Console, with what to build next

Support

  • Site down or checkout broken: we get you back online within the plan, with no hourly billing
  • Next-working-day reply, same-day triage if sales are blocked

A task is one self-contained change, like a checkout rule or a plugin swapped for a better one. Bigger requests count as two or three, and we tell you before we start. What counts as a task

Step one for every store

Foundation

A one-off setup and plain-English audit, so we never deploy to a store we don’t understand. The audit, the repository and the release pipeline stay yours, even if you leave.

£350 + VAT, one-off, billed with your first month

The same on every plan.

Included

  • A staging site for your reviews, and a development copy on our side with no customer data
  • Code in a GitHub repository you own
  • Release pipeline, with rollback to the previous release tested
  • Your host’s backups checked: what’s backed up, how often, and how long they’re kept
  • Health audit: plugin bloat, security, speed, what’s urgent
  • Handover session and written workflow

Bigger jobs are quoted separately, at a fixed price agreed before we start: theme rebuilds and migrations, integrations and custom features, hacked sites and bad hosts, and second-opinion audits of another agency’s work.

What happens every month, without you asking

The basics happen on every plan. Growth adds a quarterly review on top.

On every plan

  • Core, plugin and theme updatesTested on staging first. Anything that breaks is rolled back and fixed.
  • Vulnerability alerts checkedWordPress core and plugin vulnerability feeds.
  • Uptime monitored around the clockAlerts come straight to us.

On Growth, every quarter

  • Error logs and 404s reviewedPHP errors, failed crons, payment and shipping errors.
  • Site speed checkedHome, shop, product and checkout.
  • Security checkVulnerable plugins, admin users, login protection.
  • Search Console reviewedCrawl errors, coverage drops, Core Web Vitals, manual actions.
  • PHP and plugin reviewWhat’s approaching end of life, and when to act.
  • Backlog reviewWhat was released, what’s queued, what to drop.
1stof month

One page, on the 1st of every month

Updates applied, uptime, tasks released, what’s queued, and anything we spotted that needs attention. Fixing what we flag is a task on Build or Growth, or a fixed-price quote on Care.

Nothing reaches your live store without being reviewed and tested.

  1. You askIn plain English, by email, Slack or the request form. We agree what “done” looks like. You
  2. We build itIn our own development environment. None of your customer data is copied into it.SKU Digital
  3. A senior developer reviews itEvery change is read, corrected where needed, and tested against your actual setup.Senior dev · the gate
  4. You approve it on stagingDeployed to your staging site and configured properly (plugin settings, API keys, payment and email set-up), so you test the real thing. You approve
  5. We release itIn an agreed window that suits your store. A rollback is ready if anything is wrong.SKU Digital

A task is finished when it works on your live store, not when the code is written. If a change we released breaks something, we roll it back and fix it at no extra charge.

Changes made outside this process, such as live edits or another developer’s work, we look at and quote before we start.

Why the price can include development

We build with AI coding tools inside our own system for WooCommerce and WordPress. They speed up the slow parts: reading your store’s code before a change, getting to a first working version, and drafting tests and documentation.

The part that decides whether a change is right is done by a person. A senior developer agrees the scope with you, reviews every change, tests it on staging and answers when something breaks. That’s why a fixed monthly price can include real development.

Support, in plain terms

Clear hours and honest targets, not a promise we can’t keep.

Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 UK time, excluding England and Wales bank holidays. Planned leave and release windows are agreed in advance.

Every requestNext working day

You get a reply that says what happens next. A reply isn’t a promise it’s finished that day.

Sales blockedSame day

If the store is down or customers can’t buy, triage starts the same working day when reported before 2pm. Slow features and campaign requests aren’t emergencies.

Out of hours: not a promise, but if we’re available we’ll help, and we have helped clients at weekends. The uptime monitor runs around the clock. If you need guaranteed 24/7 cover, we’re not the right fit and we’ll say so.

More of your budget goes into your store.

No agency overheads

No account managers, sales team or big office in your price.

You talk to the developer who knows your store

No briefing an account manager who briefs a junior.

One fixed monthly price

No hourly billing and no surprise invoices. You know what the year costs before it starts.

Quoted before we start

Bigger jobs get a fixed price first. If something turns out bigger, we stop and ask before it costs you more.

Our mistakes are on us

If a change we released breaks, we roll it back and fix it at no extra charge.

No lock-in, no exit fee

Monthly rolling, one month’s notice, and the code lives in a repository you own.

Who you’ll work with

SKU Digital is led by Qaiser Bashir, an Adobe-certified developer based in Milton Keynes, who has built with PHP, WooCommerce and WordPress for 14 years. Every store is looked after by a senior developer who scopes your work, reviews every change before it goes live, and answers when something breaks.

WooCommerce WordPress

I found Qaiser online and he responded very quickly. I was very impressed at how quickly he resolved our issue where other developers had told us they could not fix the problem and that I would have to buy a whole new theme for my website and weeks of work to change the theme. I am so grateful to Qaiser and how lucky I was to find him and will use him all the time from now on.

Working with Qaiser for a number of years I have found him to be a great asset to our team. He has a vast knowledge of website design and system building. He always works hard and met deadlines when set. Clearly explaining what he was doing and going to achieve was another great skill he demonstrated on all projects. Without Qaisers hard work out website and order management system wouldn't be what it is today, and I would highly recommend him and hope you have him working with us again in the future.

Questions owners actually ask

How does switching from our current developer or agency work?

It happens during Foundation. We need hosting access and your code. If there’s no repository, we create one. We audit the store, set up staging and the release pipeline, then take over. Nothing changes on the live store until you’ve approved it.

Why do the prices say “from”?

Two WooCommerce stores with the same traffic can need very different amounts of work. One with sixty plugins, a page builder, custom checkout code and a CRM connection takes far longer to update and test than a lean store. So we look over your setup first, at no cost. A straightforward store pays the price shown. A more complex one might pay £695 a month, not £595. Either way you know your exact price before you pay anything, and it only changes if the store changes a lot, such as a new integration or a subscriptions add-on.

Can we move between plans?

Yes, up or down, with one month’s notice. A store might run Build or Growth while there’s a backlog or a migration, then step down to Care once things are steady.

What counts as a development task?

One self-contained change you can describe in a sentence or two, that we can build, test and release on its own. For example: a checkout or shipping rule change, a plugin swapped for a better one, a landing page, a bug that keeps coming back, a form that never worked, or a simple custom plugin.Bigger requests count as two or three tasks, and we tell you before we start. Work that runs over weeks with another system or supplier involved, such as an integration, a redesign or a speed project, is quoted at a fixed price.

What if we don’t use all our tasks in a month?

Unused tasks roll over one month, so a quiet month isn’t wasted. They don’t build up beyond that.

What if we need more than our monthly tasks?

Extra tasks are quoted at a fixed price, or you move up a plan.

What does “no hourly billing” cover when something breaks?

If the store is down or checkout is failing, we get you back online without billing hours or using your tasks. That applies on every plan, once the store has passed Foundation and any urgent fixes we flagged are done.If the cause needs a bigger fix, such as a hacked site, a failing host or a plugin that has to be replaced, we stabilise first and quote the rest at a fixed price. Nothing starts without your say-so.

Will plugins always be on the latest version?

Minor and security updates, yes, after a staging check. Major plugin versions that change how a feature works, such as a new WooCommerce checkout or a page builder rewrite, need proper testing, so they’re flagged and quoted. Nothing gets updated blind.

What if our store is several versions behind?

Care still works, but the catch-up update is quoted separately first. On Growth, one major WooCommerce or theme upgrade a year is included; the catch-up to get there is a one-off.

Why are you dearer than the £79-a-month maintenance companies?

They run plugin updates automatically across hundreds of sites and charge by the hour for anything else. Our Care plan tests every update on a staging copy of your store first, with a senior developer checking the result, and fixes anything an update breaks.Build and Growth are the bigger difference: three or seven pieces of real development every month, reviewed and released. If all you need is plugins updated on a brochure site, a cheap maintenance service is the right buy and we’ll say so.

Do you work with WordPress sites that aren’t stores?

Yes, when the site takes payments, bookings or sign-ups, such as course, membership and booking sites. The plans and prices are the same.

My store has subscriptions and a custom checkout. Which plan?

Probably Growth, but we’ll assess it before we quote. The platform alone doesn’t decide the price. How much can break does.

Do we need to change hosting?

No. We work with your current host. If the hosting itself is the problem, we’ll tell you, and quote a move separately. If you’d rather have the store on our UK servers, managed by us, it’s £45 + VAT a month.

Does our code or customer data go to an AI company?

Your code does, to our AI provider, on a business plan that doesn’t use it to train its models. Customer data doesn’t. We build in our own development environment and no customer data is imported into it.

Can we leave after Foundation?

Yes. Everything built in Foundation (the repository, staging and the audit) is yours whether you stay or not, and so are the code and accounts. Plans run monthly with one month’s notice, and we hand over configuration and workflow documents during that month.
