Sounds familiar?
Your store is fine. Your theme is the problem.
- Mobile PageSpeed in the 20s and 30s, whatever you do to the images
- Every frontend change costs more than it should, because Luma’s stack fights you
- A quote for Hyvä that didn’t mention your 40 extensions
- A half-finished Hyvä build another agency walked away from
How it works
Paid assessment first. Then a price that doesn’t move.
Nobody can quote a Hyvä migration properly without opening the store first. The frontend rebuild is the quick part; the long tail is making every extension work with Hyvä, and that’s what most quotes leave out until you’re committed. So we do the assessment as a small paid piece of work, and take the fee off the project.
01 Compatibility assessment
Five to ten working days. Every third-party extension, custom module and template override is listed, with whether it has a Hyvä version, needs a compatibility layer built, or should be retired. Checkout, design approach and hosting are covered too. You get a document with a scope, a week-by-week timeline and a fixed price, and you keep it whether you proceed or not.
Example report line: 42 extensions · 31 Hyvä-ready · 7 rebuild · 4 drop
02 Fixed-quote migration
We rebuild the theme in Hyvä in our own development environment, with no customer data, through the SKU pipeline, our own AI-assisted system. Every extension from the assessment is made compatible, replaced or retired as agreed, and a senior developer reviews the work before it reaches your staging site. Checkout and integrations are regression-tested, and the release goes out in an agreed window. One price, one launch date, the assessment fee deducted.
30 → 85+Mobile PageSpeed, a typical Luma to Hyvä result; the assessment forecasts yours
~1.2 MB → ~120 KBJavaScript on a product page, typical for Luma and Hyvä
Modern tools, senior judgement
Built with modern tools. Checked by a senior developer.
We build with AI coding tools inside the SKU pipeline, our own system for Magento and WordPress. Your changes go live sooner, and a fixed monthly price can include real development. The tools are half the job. The half that decides whether a change is right is done by a person.
What the SKU pipeline speeds up
- Reading your store’s code and config before a change
- Getting to a first working version
- Drafting tests and documentation
- Spotting what a change might affect
What a senior developer does, every time
- Agrees with you what “done” looks like
- Reviews every line and corrects what isn’t right
- Tests on your staging site and configures it properly
- Releases in an agreed window, with a rollback ready
- Answers when something breaks
What actually changes
Only the front end.
The parts of Magento that hold your business stay untouched.

Where your budget goes
More of your budget goes into your store.
Budgets are tight for most UK businesses right now. You shouldn’t be paying for layers you never see.
No agency overheads
No account managers, sales team or big office in your price. You pay for senior development, not the layers around it.
You talk to the person doing the work
No briefing an account manager who briefs a junior. You speak to the senior developer who knows your store.
One fixed monthly price
No hourly billing and no surprise invoices. You know what the year costs before it starts.
Quoted before we start
Bigger jobs get a fixed price agreed first. If something turns out bigger, we stop and ask before it costs you more.
Our mistakes are on us
If a change we released breaks, we roll it back and fix it at no extra charge.
No lock-in, no exit fee
Monthly rolling, one month’s notice, and the code lives in a repository you own.
Timeline
Most stores land between 4 and 10 weeks.
- Weeks 1–2AssessmentExtensions, overrides and integrations listed. Scope, timeline and fixed quote issued.
- Weeks 2–6Theme and extension buildBuilt in our own environment, then reviewed with you on your staging site, page type by page type.
- Weeks 6–8Checkout, QA and sign-offCheckout, search, accounts and tracking tested. You approve before release.
- Go-live weekRelease and coverReleased in an agreed window with a rollback ready, then a week of monitoring and the written handover.

What store owners say about working with us
We have enjoyed working with Qaiser since November 2024 and have been really impressed by his general approach. During our first few months we needed to move quickly on setting up new server suppliers, website migration and then getting several upgrades to our Magento ecommerce platform live. Qaiser handled each of these tasks with a high level of care and technical support. We have since gained sufficient confidence to work with Qaiser on future development work/projects. It's refreshing to find a developer that is both caring/responsive day to day and at the same time has the technical capability to get the tasks done.
Qaiser stepped in to take over our Hyva project when we needed to switch agencies. I was a bit worried about leaving a team of skilled front-end & back-end Magento/Hyva developers to work with one full-stack freelancer, but Qaiser assured me he was 100% confident and he ended up exceeding my expectations with a very smooth launch. Qaisers Hyva expertise was immediately clear. He's also a great communicator, easy-going and often goes above-and-beyond.
Common questions
The assessment lists every extension you have, whether a Hyvä-compatible version exists, and what it costs to rebuild or replace the ones that don’t. Nothing is guessed at after the quote.
Yes, in full. If you go ahead, the fee is deducted from the fixed quote. If you don’t, you keep the report and owe nothing further.
Not unless you want it to. The default is a like-for-like rebuild of your current design. Design changes can be added to the scope and priced separately.
Then we say so. Sometimes an upgrade or a caching fix solves the actual problem for far less, and we’d rather point you there. See page speed and Magento upgrade.
Yes. Taking over a half-finished Hyvä build and launching it on schedule is exactly the kind of work we do; the client review on this page is from one.
Book the assessment
Send the store URL and, if you know it, a rough extension count. We’ll confirm the assessment fee and the start date within one working day.
